Acceptable use policy

At devotii we intend to make your gaming experience as enjoyable as possible and second to none. To this end we have constructed the following Acceptable Use Policy.

Set out below are certain areas which we consider 'unacceptable behaviour' and as such are subject to penalty. In the event a member is guilty of any unacceptable behaviour they will be given a warning for the first offence, be suspended if they carry out, or are responsible for, a second offence and be permanently banned if they carry out, or are responsible for, a third offence. Depending on the nature of the 'unacceptable behaviour' devotii may, in its absolute discretion, suspend or permanently ban the relevant member whether or not it is their first, second or third offence.

A suspension is a temporary ban from devotii, the devotii website and all affiliated / devotii 'powered' sites. The duration of the suspension is at the absolute discretion of devotii. A permanent ban constitutes a permanent ban from devotii, the devotii website and all affiliated / devotii 'powered' sites. Any remaining monies in a banned member's account will be returned to that member upon request.

1.1 Abuse

Abuse is considered to be repetitive verbal (textual or spoken) insults directed at devotii members or staff, whether ingame, on the devotii website or any affiliated sites or elsewhere. Any abuse of whatever nature is unacceptable and will, amongst other matters, result in the penalties indicated above. Abuse includes any actions which are not in the spirit of gaming or which are intended to prevent tournaments and games being carried out in a fair and even manner.

1.2 Profanity

Use of profanities consisting of racial / sexual / religious / gender-specific and / or disability-orientated slurs are not acceptable and are considered to amount to 'abuse', as referred to above. Generic profanity for the use of emphasis is acceptable as long as no other member or staff objects to such use of language.

Use of images which may be considered offensive, i.e those of a racial / sexual / religious / gender-specific and / or disability-orientated nature are also not acceptable and are considered to amount to 'abuse', as referred to above.

1.3 Masquerading

Any member who attempts to masquerade as a member of devotii staff, in any way, in any medium, will be subject to the 'abuse' penalties as referred to above.

1.4 Cheating

If you suspect someone of cheating please inform devotii immediately via our Contact us page.

Maliciously and falsely or repeatedly accusing someone of cheating whether ingame or elsewhere may constitute 'abuse', as referred to above.

Those found cheating will be instantly banned. In addition devotii retains the right to pursue legal action against any and all member(s) that cheat.

devotii will treat all transgressions of this Acceptable Use Policy on a case by case basis and in all such cases devotii's decision is final.
