           Annihilate or Victory Points matches

These rules are GAME specific, Please also read through our General rules In some cases the General rules and Game specific rules may contradict each other were this is the case the Game Specific rules take precedence.

Prior to the match:

Getting in touch: Players who use IRC can meet on IRC (in the #devotii-CoH channel) 30 minutes before game time. Please make yourself known to your opponent ASAP, this will help make sure your opponent is there and ready to play there will also be devotii CoH Admins available in the channel for any help you may require. (It should be noted that there is a specific devotii HELP channel #devotii.admins were you can get help from admins on anything devotii related at any time, an admin will voice you to state your question ASAP.)

2. Match rules: CoH 1 v 1 And 2 v 2 Ladders.

  1. Overview: A match consists of the best of 3 rounds. If the first two rounds are won by the same player, the match is over. If the round score is one round each, you will play a 3rd round tiebreaker. A round is a single game of CoH.
    Each player picks a map and side. For round one the player who set the challenge in devotii has the first choice of both map and side (allies or axis); the second player will choose their map and side for the second round. In the event of a tiebreaker the one who set (made) the challenge in devotii will have the choice of both map and side for last map.

After each round: Both teams are required to:

  1. Note down the final VP score. (VP = Victory Points)
    In annihilation victories, the annihilated side is considered "drained to 0 VP"
  2. Take a screenshot of the end screen scores.
    use PrtScrn and a .jpg will be saved in your screenshots directory
  3. Save the recorded replay.
  4. Inform devotii Admins of any problems or issues that can not be resolved, using either #devotii -CoH or #devotii.admins help channels

  1. ROUND 1: The player who made the challenge on devotii will host the first round and invite his/her opponent into the game. They will then select the map as specified in the devotii challenge notes and the side (allies or axis) they wish to start with. The home (challenger) team can if it chooses offer an option to the visiting team: to play in "standard" positions, or "reversed" positions. If the visiting team selects "reversed", the home team will press the "Swap Team Starting Location" button. Once done you are ready to play the round. At the end of the round take screen shots of VP (victory points)
  2. ROUND 2: For the second round, the challenger becomes the visiting team, and the challenged becomes the home team. This time, the challenged hosts the game, and invites the challenger to join. The challenged or new home team selects their map and side as selected on devotii or agreed previously to match time. Once again, the option of "standard" or "reversed" positions is offered to the now visiting team. At the end of the round take screen shots of VP (victory points)

  1. ROUND 3 (if necessary): In the event that the round score after the first two rounds is tied at 1-1, a third round tiebreaker may be played. The original home team (the challenger) will again have the selection of both map and starting side (allies or axis) as in the previous rounds, the home team hosts the game. The home team picks any map from the devotii map list and selects a side. The visiting team may be offered the option of "reversed" positions. The winner of Round 3 wins the match. Screenshots and replays are saved and retained for two weeks. At the end of the round take screen shots of VP (victory points)
  2. Ladder Scoring: devotii CoH Ladder scoring is as follows;

Win = +50 points

Loss = -25 points

Draw = +35 points

Default win = +50 and -25. Cancelling a match on the day of the match or a no show will result in a default win for the opposing team.

  1. Demos and Screenshots: You are required to keep the demos and screenshots from every round of a match for at least 2 weeks. If a conflict should arise, you will be responsible for uploading recording demo files and end score screenshots. ANY clan you play in a match can request your demos and these MUST be given over to the opposing clan on request within the two week period after the match ONLY clan leaders may request another clans demos and only for those matches where both clans played each other within the allotted two week period (in the case of single players not within a clan the single player is assumed to be a clan leader. The admin team have the right to request your demos and these should be made available on request

 6. Inactivity.

Players that go more than 28 days without a match will be dropped from the ladder. Players at or near the top of the ladder are encouraged to play ladder matches to give others a chance to climb above them. If you are near the top, continued avoidance of matches will result in points being gradually deducted. Give others a chance to play against you!

WiC 3 v 3 Domination Ladder

World In Conflict - Devotii Rules

3 v 3 Domination Ladder

Please read through these rules carefully, Failure to do so may result in match results becoming void.

Section I: Prior to a match

. Getting in touch: Players who use IRC can meet on IRC (in the #devotii-WiC channel) 30 minutes before game time. Please make yourself known to your opponent ASAP, this will help make sure your opponent is there and ready to play there will also be devotii WiC Admins available in the channel for any help you may require. (It should be noted that there is a specific devotii HELP channel #devotii.admins were you can get help from admins on anything devotii related at any time, an admin will voice you to state your question ASAP.)

Section II: Game type Information

This league is a 3v3 domination ladder.

Domination - Hold/Take as many of the objectives as your team can to generate points, the more objective points you hold, the more points you get. This moves the”domination" bar either in favor or against your side. If the domination bar is fully in favor of one side, the game ends, and that side will have won the round. If time runs out before one side "dominates" the other, the team with the most points/favor wins the round.

The Time Limit for each round is 10 Minutes. This means, per map, you play 2 x 10 minute rounds. After the first round is complete, the teams swap sides.

There is only one specific role rules in the 3vs3 ladder, Players are allowed to choose their role as many times as they wish in game (i.e. can swap as many times as they wish), but they must not have more than 2 players on any one role. I.e., you can have 2 players on Air, but a 3rd must not choose air.

The allowed maps are as follows:

do_ruins, do_riviera, do_powerplant, do_quarry, do_hometown, do_xmas, do_seaside, do_spaceneedle, do_island, do_silo, do_farmland, do_riverbed

General Match Information:

Matches can be played with either one or two maps, depending on the accepted challenge.

The Challenger chooses the map(s) and the challenged team chooses the faction they want to start with on both maps.

Each map is played twice (2x10mins) per map - this allows both teams to play both factions once.

Substitutions can join the server at any time, but only once the player they are substituting has left the server.

If a player drops from the server, they can rejoin at any time. However, the match can be restarted ONLY if both teams agree to do so.

Screenshots MUST be taken at the end of each round, and kept for 14 days in case they are needed for a dispute.

Replays MUST be recorded and kept for 14 days in case they are needed for a dispute.

Matches’ must start within 15 minutes of the original agreed start time. Failure to do so could result in a default loss for the delaying team.

If you do not have 3 Players at match start:

Because this is a 3v3 ladder, we only 3 players on each team, and only 3. No less, no more. If a side doesn’t have 3 players at the end of the 15minute allowed waiting period, the match is forfeited by that team.

Section III: Scoring System

The Scoring system to be used is a variation of the Elo Rating System.

End Scores will be entered as domination percentages - which are to be rounded up/down.

Scores must be entered on the website within 24 hours of the match

Examples:

50.4% would be rounded down to 50%

50.5% would be rounded up to 60%

50.6% would be rounded up to 60%

How are new ratings calculated?

New ratings will be calculated as follows:

   New rating = old rating + (constant * (actual result – expected result))

Where constant is 100

actual result is a value between 0 and 1, where 1 is a perfect win, 0.5 is a draw and 0 is a total loss

Expected result is calculated using the difference in ratings. The formula used to do this is:

   Expected result = 1 divided by (10^(rating difference divided by 1000) + 1)

Section IV: Server Settings

Servers are not allowed to run any plugins, 3rd party or otherwise, during any Devotii Match.

Max Players should be set to 6

Resources must be set to 4000>2000

A Password must be placed on the server

Section V: General Conduct

No 3rd party software is permitted to be used that would give you an unfair advantage (Excludes voice comms)

No Ghosting

Kicking opposing players from the server once the match is started is NOT permitted. The team that commits this offence will automatically forfeit the match.

Starting the game with the wrong settings may result in the match becoming void - never side will benefit from this. Please check server settings before starting a match.

Any Application which can be used to aid a player to gain an unfair advantage over their opponent is illegal within the league and within massgate - This is cheating.

Section VI: User Accounts (ID's)
