The Netherlands Gamert player Netherlands PausPaul posted the following announcement on the their homepage today after last night's defeat to Sweden Desperation 85-525 in the first knockout round of the i3d Cup. This means that they will no longer compete in the Clanbase EuroCup or the ESL SpringCup and it is said that Clanbase are searching for a team to replace them in the EuroCup.

Gamert.bf2 decided to stop its conquest activities in BF2.
The time has come where the motivation to compete at high level slowly dropped down and finally reached the bottom. The final knock-out was one of our key players, d0nny, was accused of cheating while being innocent, but banned nevertheless.
But we can look back on a successful time with our team and we want to thank all who played with us to make our team what it is. And also a thank you to our community for the support!
As mentioned, our conquest team will stop playing, we will remain active on the infantry front however.
On the long term we are looking forward to ET:QW, until then .... see you in an BF2 infantry match ....
