At this moment, the Electronic Sports World Cup is holding events all over the world as qualifiers for the ESWC Grand Finals in Paris, to be held 5th-7th July. Today, the ESWC organisation has announced some changes in the rules of ESWC UK.

First the event was going to be held with 32 teams in a single elimination tournament. But because of some problems of teams threatening to boycot the event, the organisation decided to change their form of play. The event will now be held in a two stage elimination type and will only future 16 teams. All matches will be played on saturday 26th May and the finals will be played on sunday 27th May.
