USA Matthew Ringel, commissioner of the WSVG:
The World Series of Video Games, Presented by Intel will be the biggest video game event to hit Canada, thanks to a terrific partnership with Intel Canada and Fan Expo. After we announced an October event at Los Angeles eForAll, we very much wanted to schedule an event in late summer hitting the eastern region of North America. We are delighted that our inaugural event in Canada will be among the biggest on our video game circuit and, indeed, in all competitive gaming this year.

The 2007 World Series of Video Games, Presented by Intel, kicked off its second season with a record breaking four-day event in China in May that drew more than 100,000 attendees. This was followed by events in Louisville, Kentucky in June and Dallas, Texas in July. Television coverage of the 2007 series will begin airing on CBS Sports beginning July 29th, at 12pm ET.
