It seems the best games being released so far in 2008 have been sequels, and from the looks of things Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be no exception. Due for Playstation 3 release on June 12th, it is reportedly the last Metal Gear game to star Solid Snake and be developed by Hideo Kojima.

Set in the year 2014, Solid Snake is deployed to stop Liquid Ocelot from using his army in an armed insurrection. With the use of high-tech communication, camouflage and weaponry Snake must pursue Liquid across the globe.

 “Metal Gear Online” is Metal Gear Solid 4’s online component, which will feature 16-player online stealth battles with a heavy emphasis on teamwork. Players can upgrade skills that their character can use such as hacking, CQC mastery, drowning, tomfoolery, enhanced lock-on, and more, all of which can be levelled up.
