With the launch of the next FiFA08 event we thought it would be a good idea to take a look back at the last cup and catch up with the winner. For any of you that followed the event Jay in his words 'had the luck on his side'. He Is probably being modest with that statement judging by the results. Jay walked away with the top prize and is keen to retain his title in the next event, and was kind enough to answer a few questions.

What started you playing the FIFA series and which one so far has been your favorite?

JAY: Because I was young it was probably the more arcadey game style previous FIFA's had, compared to the more realistic Pro evo however the older I got the more I started to sway to PES and it's sim like approach. But that all changed again with FIFA 08 with a role reversal for both titles now FIFA 08 is the sim and PES in my opinion the Arcade game. My favorite FIFA is FIFA 08 because its the most sim like game EA have ever created.
 
When did you first here about devotii and the “Playoffs” event?

On The Xbox.com Forums.
 
When you signed up to play in the event did you think you had any chance of winning?

JAY: Yes I did because at the time of my sign up there was no one else I knew but that changed when I saw some names like Bazza and Benzi and Ikari sign up who are all good FIFA players.
 
Have you played in any other Fifa08 events before?

JAY: Yes FIFA Interactive World Cup Finals in 2007 Playing for $20,000 lost to the winner.
 
Do you go through any preparation before an event game?

JAY: I Just pray that I get all the luck
 
What is your favorite team to use in fifa08 and why?

JAY: Inter Milan they are the club I support and their Solid in defense and Strong in Attack. And their great to use against UTD and Barca the two most popular teams in the game.
 
How did you think of your opponents throughout the event?

JAY: They were all good in every game I played, I got all the luck people would miss 1v1's while I was playing badly but I took all my chances when they came so it was a mixture of luck and Lethal Finishing.
 
What was your favorite game?

JAY: Probably the Semi final vs Scott1990 he was 2-0 up then Missed two 1 on 1 opportunities and then I came back with 4 goals to steal the game he was really unlucky but thats when I knew I would probably win the tournament.
 
What will you be doing with the prize money?

JAY: Its given me enough £££ to buy booze and get an HD Projector I have been after :)
